Branding

 We went and Branded with some of Travis' friends. It was a beautiful day. I even caught some calves. It was a totally new experience for me. I have never done "real" roping. Just played in the arena. Kass had a blast cooking the rocky mountain oysters. Travis did awesome as usual. He was definitely in his element.

Papa came to visit too. Kody was super sad when he left.

 We built a bridle for Travis' new bit. Roany is not convinced that he wants to wear it.

 Sundance is opposed to posing. I had to modify my chaps a bit. Too much pink. I think they turned out all right

Kody needed to wear his chaps too. He loves to go fast and try and herd the cats.

Christmas 2011

 We had a nice Christmas. Kennedy loved her Itouch, Kass liked her kindle and Kody loved all of his cowboy stuff. We didn't get Christmas cards out this year, we will have better luck next year I guess. Travis and I have been doing a few leather projects, the kids have been going wild and Kass is doing great in school. We are trying to keep our heads above water just like everyone else. But things are well.

We had a date yesterday. We went for a ride on the mountain, it was really fun. and cold

My new chaps kept me nice and warm, toes froze but we bought winter riding boots so I should be good now...

Kass had her daddy make Kody his own roping cow, she painted it. I think they did a great job. Kody loved it almost as much as his rope and gun.

The game of life is no fun if your loosing!

My pretty girl with her pigtails ready for church. The other night I told her to come in for family prayer. She ran and got a stool, brought it in and said, do the one on my head daddy. It was pretty precious.

First day of seventh grade. she is growing up so fast. She is such a sweet girl, we are so blessed to have her as our daughter!

Kass saw a cake like this at the fair and just had to make one. its a white cake with several layers all colored differently. then topped with chocolate cream cheese frosting.

They had lots of fun and hopefully learned a lot as well.

Kennedy walked Charlotte in the Pee Wee contest. she got a blue ribbon. she was a horse and Charlotte was the cowgirl.

Kennedy would not even acknowledge the judges presence, it was pretty funny

Ken and Kody were in love with this pony. Kennedy said, Mom, lets put it in our trailer and take it home. It will be Perfect. she is so funny. she was pretty disappointed that she didn't get to keep it.

The babies loved the little petting zoo.

The girls were in the parade too. They were super busy.

Kass rode in the pre- rodeo. This is her new horse Ruby.
